Réseau M, partner of Sherbrooke Innopole

Réseau M is a community of interest that comes together to organize mentoring services for entrepreneurs across Quebec. Réseau M’s goal is to offer a guidance service to all interested entrepreneurs, by experienced businesspeople, to give them every opportunity to achieve success and to grow.

Each year, more than 3800 entrepreneurs benefit from the guidance of approximately 1900 certified mentors in Quebec. These successful businessmen and businesswomen voluntarily guide entrepreneurs in their development.

This high-calibre program, governed by a code of ethics, is aimed at all activity sectors and all entrepreneurs, and is available to businesses in all stages of development.

Key values

The Fondation de l’entrepreneurship’s Réseau M relies on the following benchmarks to frame the practice of mentoring:

Collaboration and confidentiality

Entrepreneurs develop more favourably when collaborating with experienced individuals who are committed to helping them develop their entrepreneurial skills and build their business. All interactions that take place within the context of this collaboration are strictly confidential..

Volunteer commitment

Volunteering is when a person, in this case the mentor, works to provide guidance free of charge, receiving no compensation or benefit of any kind and without being obliged to do so.

Respect

The relationship that mentors have with mentorees is based on respect. Mentors help mentorees improve their way of overcoming and resolving the challenges they encounter. Mentors respect the strengths and limitations of mentorees and take individual cultural differences into account. They demonstrate this respect through their open, non-judgmental attitude.

Responsibility and autonomy

Each person is responsible for their actions and must assume the consequences of their actions. Responsibility implies the notion of the mentoree’s accountability with respect to their own actions and decisions. It is based on their ability to make choices, to take responsibility for their own decisions, to feel responsible for their actions, to take initiative, and to be consistent with their values in their journey and in maintaining their autonomy.

Request for mentoring

Recognized as an invaluable resource in business, mentoring is offered across the Estrie region. You can quickly take your entrepreneurial dream further, thanks to the experience of a mentor.
